Barner, 83, of Richfield died at 7:30 a.m., Sunday , July 25, 1993, at the Brookline Manor Convalescent Home, R.D.1 , Mif flintown, where she had been a resident for a short time. She was born March 2, 1910, in Clearfield Co, the daughter of the lat e Jessie and Bertha (Hubler) Green. She attended school in Clearfiel d Co, then received her teaching certificate from Lock Haven State Tea chers College. She was married to Lahman E. Barner, who died in 1965. She taught scho ol for eight years in numerous one-room schools in Juniata and Snyde counties. She retired after 18 years with the Pennsylvania departmen t of Revenue. She was a member of the Richfrield United Methodist Church and an acti ve member of the United Methodist Women. She was a charter member of t he Richfield Women's Community Club and a member of the Richfield Seni or Citizens' Center. Mrs. Barner was an avid reader and supporter of her great-grandchildre s's' sports and school activities. She is survived by her daughter, Gale L. Kratzer of Richfield, two gra dchildren and five great-grandchildren. Fineral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Richfield Unit ed Methodist Church, with the Rev. Almon D. Baird officiating. Interme t will follow in the Richfield Union Cemetery. Viewing will be from 4-9 p.m. on Tuesday at the Ronald C. Sheaffer Fun eral Home, 16 Westfall St., McAlisterville. The family will receive fr iends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Family links: Parents: Jessie E.
