Raymond Walizer Jr., 85, of Lock Haven, Clinton Co, PAssed from this l
ife on Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2013 at the Lock Haven Hospital.
He was born in Salona on Feb. 18, 1928, a son of the late Raymond R. a
d Beulah Barner Walizer. On Nov. 25, 1948 he was united in marriage t
o Betty Marie Seasholtz who preceded him in death on Feb. 3, 2011.
He was a graduate of Mill Hall High School (BEN) and served in the Uni
ted States Navy 1945-1947.
Raymond was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfath
er.
He worked at Piper Aircraft and the Lock Haven Paper Mill for many yea
s. He served as a board member at the Belles Springs Golf Course fo
over 15 years and was a member of the St. Luke's United Church of Ch
ist in Flemington.
Raymond liked to fish, hunt, golf and play cards and always had a smil
e for everyone he met and an infectious laugh.
He is survived by one brother, Arlington (Buck) Walizer of Rote; two s
ons, Charles Robert (Mary) Walizer, of Rote, and Jeffery Wayne (Elizab
eth) Walizer, of Fredrick MD; five grandchildren and nine great grandc
hildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn Walizer Prough a
d a brother Clair Perry Walizer.
Memorial Services will be held, Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013 at 11 a.m. wit
h visitation one hour prior to services in the Yost-Gedon Funeral Home
, 121 W. Main St., Lock Haven. Officiating will be Pastor Patricia Dod
ds.
Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park, Lock Haven at the conve
ience of the family. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Luke'
s United Church of Christ, 1175 W. Fourth St., Lock Haven.
