Earl Bartley
Earl “Bud” Bartley, 66, of Charles Town, W.V., passed away Saturday, D
ec. 30, 2006 at the Loudoun County Hospital.
Born Aug. 23, 1940 in Lock Haven, he was the son of the late Martin Em
itt Bartley and Gladys Barner Bartley.
He served in the U.S. Army National Guard, graduated from Lock Haven H
igh School in 1959, was a mechanic for numerous auto dealers around Cl
inton County and retired from Loudoun County Public School’s maintenan
ce department on March 1, 2006.
He moved to Northern Virginia/West Virginia 10 years ago.
He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Gale Bryan-Royer Bartley; a si
ster, Mary and her husband, Joseph Herman, of Lock Haven; a step-son
, Corey Royer of St. John, USVI; a step-daughter, Jennifer and her hus
band, Bill McConnell, of Waterville; and nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter
, Lisa Marie Bartley, on Nov. 22, 1963.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Jan. 13, 2007 at 1 p.m. at t
he Philomont United Methodist Church in Philomont, Va.
Arrangements are being handled by the Jefferson Chapel Funeral Home.
The family requests donations be made to the Philomont United Methodis
t Church.
