Guy V. Rauch, 92, formerly of 48 Rauch Lane, Jersey Shore, died Tuesda
y evening, April 26, 2011 in Manor Care Health Center in Jersey Shore.
Born June 15, 1918 in Rauchtown, he was a son of Newton James Rauch an
d the former Minnie Krape.
Guy was preceded in death by his first wife, the former Ruth I. Meixel
, in 1976 and his second wife, the former Nellie J. Frazier, in 2010.
He was retired from Avco after many years of service and was a membe
of LaBelle Vallee Lodge No. 232 and the Williamsport Consistory.
During World War II, Guy honorably served his country in the United St
ates Army, from July 24, 1944 until Oct. 31, 1945.
Surviving are one son, Guy N. (Melanie) Rauch of Rauchtown; two daught
ers, Mary (Dave) Crist of Jersey Shore and Rose Marie (David) Ciccocio
ppo of Landisville; eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren
; and one brother, Lee M. Rauch of Williamsport.
Guy was preceded in death by his mother and father and two brothers, F
orrest Rauch and Ralph Rauch.
Memorial services will be Saturday, April 30, 2011 at 10 a.m. in St. J
ames Lutheran Church, Route 880, Rauchtown. Burial will follow in Lime
stone Cemetery with full military honors conducted by the Jersey Shor
e Honor Guard. Vicar Gary L. Shumway will officiate.
Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore, is i
charge of arrangements.
