POWELL VALLEY, Tenn. - Donald R. Loving, age 78, passed away Wednesday
, November 16, 2016. He was raised in Kenvir, Kentucky, before livin
g in the small mill town of Daniels, Maryland, where he met his devote
d wife, Karen. They were married for 54 years. While living in Marylan
d, he spent many happy years fishing on the Chesapeake Bay before givi
g up fishing for raising cattle in Powell Valley, Tennessee. Don wa
s preceded in death by his father, Richard Loving; his mother, Ola Ma
e Denton Loving; and his great, lifelong friend Ross Hensley.
He is survived by his wife, Karen Barner Loving, of Harrogate, Tenness
ee; their son, Denton Loving, of Speedwell, Tennessee; sisters Wanda L
oving of Speedwell, Tennessee, and Sue Beard of Marion, Ohio; brother
s Tom Loving (and wife, Betty) and Garland Loving (and wife, Shirley)
, both of Marion, Ohio; sister-in-law, Donna Hoffman (and husband, Cre
edon) of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; sister-in-law, Christine Barner o
f Dover, Pennsylvania; brother-in-law, Bruce Barner (and wife, Lois) o
f Mt. Holly Springs, Pennsylvania; special cousin, Earl Gibson (and wi
fe, Jayetta) of Speedwell, Tennessee; special friend, Franklin "Top" R
ussell of Speedwell, Tennessee; and many nieces and nephews.
