He was born March 2, 1911 near Oriental to the late Aaron S. and Dilli
e (Strawser) Troutman.
He retired as a laborer from Wallis' Farm Market Hatchery, Liverpool
; attended Laurel Hill School, Oriental; was an Army veteran of Worl
d War II; enjoyed gardening and making wind chimes; and was a member o
f St. Thomas Independent Brethren in Christ Church, Mount Pleasant Mil
ls RR 2, Fremont Fire Company, Middleburg Reliance Hose Company Ambula
ce League and Medic 55 of Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.
He was the widower of Pauline Lyter Troutman, who died April 24, 1971.
Surviving are his wife of 23 years, Irene M. Goodling Heintzelman Trou
tman; a son, James B. of Millerstown; a daughter, Jane A. Master of Mc
Alisterville RR 2; five stepsons, Clyde A. Heintzelman of Rockville, M
d., Dale R. Heintzelman of Middleburg RR 4, Dean E. Heintzelman of Kre
amer, Rudolph A. Heintzelman of Montgomery, Ala., and Roger L. Heintze
lman of Danville; 15 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Howard, Henry A. in 1996, G
eorge in 1993 and Jacob Troutman; five sisters, Edna Troutman, Ellen S
wope, Orpha Kline, Naomi Maneval and Grace Troutman; and one stepson
, Glenn E. Heintzelman, in 1994.
Services were held Oct. 20 in his church with the Rev. Roger L. Wome
officiating and his nephew, the Rev. Clair Troutman, assisting. Buri
al, with military honors, was in St. John (Barners) Lutheran Church, L
iverpool RR 1.
Garman Funeral Home, Mount Pleasant Mills, handled arrangements.
