    ALLENSVILLE - Connie M. Brannon, 59, of 49 El Ray St., Allensville an
    d formerly of Lewistown, died at 11:40 a.m. Monday, Dec. 26, 2005, i
    the Lewistown Hospital Emergency Room.

    Born Oct. 6, 1946, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late Herma
    W. and Olive I. (Eberts) Barner Sr. Her husband, James L. Brannon, w
    hom she married Oct. 13, 1964, survives.

    Also surviving are daughters, Mrs. Steven (Holly S.) Shockey, Austin
    , Texas, Mrs. Ralph (Paula J.) Powers Jr., Belleville, Mrs. Christophe
    (Denise A.) Fultz, Lewistown, and Mrs. Norman (Jennifer L.) Byler Jr
    ., Allensville; brothers, Herman W. Barner Jr., Marysville, Ronald E
    . Barner, Elliotsburg; sisters Nancy A. Coleman and Louann J. Beers, b
    oth of Lewistown; grandchildren, Tiffany George Albin, Jason George, R
    en Fultz, Derek Powers, Megan Fultz, Marisa George, and a great-great-
    grandson, Lyndon Albin.

    In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Shar
    on Barner, in 1967.

    She was a graduate of Chief Logan Class of 1964. She was a homemaker a
    d had worked at Snedeker’s Mobile until retiring in 1993.

    She attended Lewistown Assembly of God Church and was a member of th
    e Women of the Moose.

    Her funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Heller-Hoenstin
    e Woodlawn Funeral Home, 200 N. Main St., with the Rev. Harold N. Ime
    s officiating.

    Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park Cemetery.

    Her family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funer
    al home.

    HERMAN W. BARNER SR.
    Herman W. Barner Sr., 72, of Lewistown, died at 11:42 a.m. Wednesday
    , August 18, 1999, at Holy Spirit Hospital in Camp Hill.
    Born February 28, 1927, in Richfield, he was a son of the late Elmer N
    . and Blanche L. [Basom] Barner. His wife, Olive I. [Eberts] Barner, d
    ied in 1989.
    Surviving are a companion, Thelma M. Yocum, Lewistown; children, Mrs
    . James (Connie) Brannon, Lewistown, Herman W. Barner Jr., Marysville
    , Ronald E. Barner, New Bloomfield, Nancy A. Coleman, Lewistown, and M
    s. William [Louann] Beers Jr., Lewistown; sisters and brothers, Grac
    e Fogle, Lewisburg, Mary Weider, Landisville, Rev. Charles W. Barner
    , Lewistown, and Palmer Barner, Enola; 10 grandchildren; nine great-gr
    andchildren; three step-grandchildren; and one step-great-grandson.
    He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Barner, in 1967; thre
    e brothers, Victor Barner, Robert Barner and Malvern Barner; and two s
    isters, Alameda Aumiller and Bertha Book.
    He was a United States Army veteran of World War II.
    He was a retired conductor of the Pennsylvania Railroad.
    He was Methodist by faith and a member of Lewistown Moose Lodge 143 an
    d VFW Post 7011.
    Services were held Saturday at Heller-Hoenstine Woodlawn Funeral Home
    . Lewistown, with Rev. Charles W. Barner officiating. Interment was i
    Lind Memorial Cemetery.
