Funeral services for Charles O. "Dick" Furry Jr., 66, of 1684 Orrstow
Road, Shippensburg, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in Fogelsanger-Bri
cker Funeral Home, 112 W. King St., Shippensburg.
He died Thursday, Jan. 23, 2003, in Chambersburg Hospital.
Born July 27, 1936, in Chambersburg, he was a son of the late Charle
s O. Sr. and Isabelle L. Guyer Furry.
A 1954 graduate of Shippensburg High School, Mr. Furry was a retired e
mployee of the Beistle Company, Shippensburg. He was a former employe
e of the former Henry's Bakery and the former Domestic Pump Co, both i
Shippensburg.
An avid hunter and fisherman, he was a member of Shippensburg Fish an
d Game Association.
He is survived by his wife, Ann G. Barner Furry; three daughters, Nanc
y Ann Furry, Amy Louise Spotts and Beth Marie Toftus, all of Shippensb
urg; a brother, Gene G. Furry of Shippensburg; a sister, Beverly L. Ke
dall of Ocean City, N.J.; five grandchildren; and a number of niece
s and nephews.
The Rev. John P. Weyman will officiate at Monday's services. Burial wi
ll be in Ridge Cemetery in Hopewell Twp. Friends may call from 1 t
o 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
