David Jacob Jeffries Sr., 81, of Arizona City, Ariz., died on July 9
, 2010, at Hospice Family Care in Casa Grande, Ariz.
A private service was held Saturday at Hospice Family Care Chapel.
Mr. Jeffries was born on Feb. 13, 1929, in Loganton, a son of David E
. and Hilda O. Jeffries.
He was a dedicated employee of New York State Electric & Gas Corporati
on for 40 years and worked in customer service management.
He enjoyed the outdoors, travel, hunting, camping, reading, music an
d family activities.
Survivors include his wife of 10 years, Joyce; two daughters, Cynthi
a J. Doyle of Larkspur, Colo., and Jo-Beth Jeffries-Isenberg of Founta
in Hills, Ariz.; a son, David J. Jeffries Jr. of Castle Rock, Colo; tw
o sisters, Nancy Ulmer of Bellefonte and Linda Laetz of Hillsborough
, N.C.; a brother, Thomas Jeffries of Loganton; 14 grandchildren and 1
1 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 4
8 years, Eleanor Louise Welshans Jeffries, and a brother, Donnell Jeff
ies.
