Marian J. Lupold, 94, Lewisburg

- LEWISBURG - Marian J. Lupold, 94, of Lewisburg, formerly of Allenwoo
d, passed away Sunday, April 6, 2014, at Evangelical Community Hospita
l, Lewisburg.

She was born Dec. 18, 1919, in Allenwood, a daughter of the late Rober
t D. and Alta M. (Shopbell) Overdorf. On Dec. 4, 1943, she married For
est W. Lupold, who preceded her in death Jan. 24, 1981.

Marian was a 1939 graduate of Watsontown High School.

She was employed as a nurse’s aide at the former Kramm’s, now Watsonto
wn Health & Rehabilitation Center, and retired from the former Montgom
ery Mills, where she worked as a spooler.

Marian was a member of White Deer Valley Baptist Church and a member o
f the former Allenwood Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. Earlier in life
, she enjoyed being a 4-H leader.

Marian loved gardening and reading.

Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ann and John Biddinger
, of Watsontown; one sister, Mildred Kennedy, of Watsontown; two grand
daughters, Lucinda Bomberger and her husband, Doug, of Watsontown, an
d Janel Biddinger, of Lewisburg; and four great-grandchildren, Codey
, Sofia, Summer and Keegan.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by one sis
ter, Thelma Waring.

Friends will be received from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at White De
er Valley Baptist Church, 572 White Deer Valley Baptist Church Road, A
llenwood, followed by the funeral at 10:30 with the Rev. James R. Ritt
er, pastor of Watsontown Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial will follow in Watsontown Cemetery.

The family will provide the flowers and suggests memorial contribution
s be made to White Deer Valley Baptist Church, 572 White Deer Valley B
aptist Church Road, Allenwood, PA 17810.

The family is being assisted by the Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, 30
