    Allen E Lamey,95, of Loganton RR2, died Monday July 21 1997 at home.

    He was a public school teacher for 45 years and retired in 1963 from t
    he former Sugar Valley High School as social studies teacher and direc
    tor.

    He was active in community bands and played in and directed the Forme
    Green Burr Band for many years. He was one of the originators of th
    e county band concept.

    He was instrumental in forming the Sugar Valley Volunteer Fire Company
    .

    He was a 1918 graduate of the former Loganton High School and attende
    d the Lock Haven Normal School.*

    Born Sept 7 1901 in Greene Township he was the son of Calvin & Elsie (
    Zeigler) Lamey.

    He was predeceased by his wife Dessie E Douty and a brother Howard. Bu
    ial will be in the Trinity United Methodist Cemetery Greenburr.
