    J. Louise Potter, 91, formerly of Oak Street, Jersey Shore, passed awa
    y Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2010 at Manor Care.

    She was born Sept. 3, 1919 in Jersey Shore, the daughter of John and M
    argaret Miller Packard.

    Louise was the wife of James Potter Sr. with whom she shared 74 year
    s of marriage.

    She was a longtime member of the Calvary Baptist Church and enjoyed si
    ging in the choir.

    Louise retired from the Jersey Shore Area School District after 15 yea
    s of service as a cafeteria aide.

    She enjoyed cooking, and loved her home, church and family.

    She is survived by her husband James and her four children, Carol A. (
    Dick) Hannan of Pagosa Springs, Colo., James A. II (Margie) of Jerse
    y Shore, Sharon L. (John) Leininger of Coppell, Texas and Jerry S. (Be
    th) of Danville; 13 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and one grea
    t great granddaughter; three sisters, Delfa English and Betty Sweene
    y both of Jersey Shore, and Peggy Walker of Arizona; several nieces an
    d nephews.

    Relatives and friends are invited to Louise's Life Celebration beginni
    g with a visitation from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 2, 2011 and 10 to 1
    1 a.m. Monday, Jan. 3, 2011, at the Calvary Baptist Church, 315 Thomps
    on St., Jersey Shore. Services will be held at 11a.m. Monday, Januar
    y 3, 2011, at the church with Rev. Jeffrey Howell officiating. Buria
    l will be in Jersey Shore Cemetery.

    In lieu of flowers, family suggests memorial contributions in Louise'
    s memory can be made to the Calvary Baptist Church.

    Arrangements are being handled by the Rearick-Carpenter Funeral Home
    , Ltd "A Life Celebration Home" Jersey Shore.
