James A. Hillard January 8, 1956 November 30, 2013 James A. Hillard, a
ge 57, of rural Bellefonte, died Saturday, November 30, 2013, at his r
esidence. He was born January 8, 1956, in Bellefonte, the son of the l
ate Eugene C. and Shirley Flack Hillard. He was employed at Penn Stat
e University for 29 years in Preventive Maintenance Department in th
e office of the Physical Plant. He served in the US Army and the Arm
y National Guard retiring as a SSG in the Headquarters and Headquarter
s Co. 2nd BN. 112th Infantry. He was a 1974 Graduate of State Colleg
e High School. He is survived by daughter Shannon L. Hillard (Shawn Re
ese) of rural Bellefonte, and a special daughter, Leah Snyder of Por
t Matilda; one son, James A. Hillard, Jr. of State College. A memoria
l service will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2013, at 6 P.M. in Th
e Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home, 201 Spring St., Milesburg, with Pasto
Renee Ford officiating. Family and Friends will be received 1 hour p
ior to services in the Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home, where military h
onors will be accorded. Burial will be at the convenience of the famil
y. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be to Huntington's D
isease in c/o of the Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home, PO Box 288, Milesbu
