Will of Friedrich Gorenflo

I, Friedrich Goranflo, of Fairview Twp, Erie Co. in the State of PA, being of sound mind and memory to make my last will and testament.
First, I demand that after my death, my body will receive a Christian burial in accordance with the church to which I belong, and I offer my soul to my God and Saviour, who bought it with His own blood.
I leave to my wife Catherina Goranflo, all of my belongings and good in my house, also a cow, or as much money as it is worth. All the rest of my personal possessions I am ordering to be sold by my executor and administrator and the proceeds whall be invested, with the income from it to go to my said wife. The use and the income from my farm, situated in Fairview Twp, Erie Co, Penn., is hers as long as she shall live. Should she re-marry after my death, she shall retain what is hers by law, and the rest shall go to my children in equal shares.

Signed, sealed, published and sworn to by the above Friedrich Goranflo as his last will and testament, in the presence of the undersigned witnesses and the testator.

Br. Friedrich Gorenflo died in the hope of Eternal life on July 21, 1865 at the age of 67 years, 6 months and 5 days in Erie Co, PA. Br. Gorenflo came to this country with his family in 1834 from Friedrichstal, Karlsruhe district, Baden (Germany). He searched for and found the Lord in 1838, and joined the Evangelical Congregation soon after and was loyal until his end. He died of consumption.

She was a member of the Evangelical Congregation for 35 years and looked forward to depart and be with Christ. We believe she has found her peace. Her husband preceeded her 8 years ago.
