    "William G. Schumacker (sic), 74, Prominently known resident of East Springfield, died Friday night in his residence after a brief illness. He was stricken with paralysis a week ago.
    He leaves his wife, Mrs. Alice (sic) (should be Ella May), Harry and Charles Schuaker (sic) of this city; one daughter, Mrs. Edith Geer of East Springfield; four brothers and two sisters.
    The decedent had spent his entire life in and around East Springfield, and was one of its best known residents. He had been engaged as a farmer until seven years ago when he retired.
    Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. in his late home with the Rev. H. L. Lott officiating. Interment will be in East Springfield Cemetery."
