SPRINGFIELD - Lloyd David Moose of Springfield and formerly of Wooster
, died Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2003.

He was born June 19, 1914. He was born at Nashannock Falls, Pa., to Da
vid J. and Fannie (Yoder) Moose.

He attended Nashannock Falls School and later Fayette School. He move
d to OH in 1945.

He married Alma Ruth Barner in 1935 to which union one child was born
, Elton LeRoy Moose on Dec. 4, 1935. Alma Barner Moose deceased on Jul
y 28, 1956, in Akron, OH. He remarried on Feb. 2, 1957, to Anna Rowan
d Sowers. She died on Oct. 31, 1985.

He was a member of Northview Christian & Missionary Alliance Church fo
29 years. He served as an Elder for 20 years. He also served in th
e choir, trustee, usher, youth worker and Sunday School Superintendent
. In 1986 he moved to Springfield, OH, to live with his son. He joine
d Faith Wesleyan Church in 1986. He served on the Official Board for f
our years.

He retired from Landmark Inc. in Smithville in 1979 after 27 years.

His son, Elton L. Moose (Kathleen) from Springfield, OH, and a stepson
, James L. Sowers (Blanche) from Olney, Md., and Delmar Plant of Shrev
e, OH, survive him. Preceding him in death were his parents, two wives
, Alma and Anne, a stepdaughter, Juanita Plant, Ty Young, a step-grand
son, and a sister, Nora Shamp. He is also survived by two grandchildre
, Rebecca Oyler and Paula Dunn; seven step-grandchildren, Steven an
d David Plant, Sharon Young, Susan Myers, Alan, Marvin and Brian Sower
s. He has 23 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be held in Richards, Raff & Dunbar Funeral Home at 838 E
. High St., Springfield, OH, on Oct. 5 with visiting hours from 6-7 p.
m. with a service following. A service will also be held in Northvie
w Alliance Church, 3464 Burbank Road, Wooster, on Monday, Oct. 6, wit
h visiting in the church from noon-1:30 p.m. with the service at 1:3
0 p.m. Internment will be in Wooster Cemetery.

The Rev. Paul Berridge, pastor of Faith Wesleyan Church in Springfield
, is the officiating clergyman, with the Rev. Regis Sullivan assistin
g at Northview Alliance Church.
