    Harry A. Dummett
    WWII vet worked at GATX and lived in Findley Twp.
    A funeral service will be held Thursday for Harry A. Dummett, 1610 Mer
    cer-Grove City Road, Findley Twp. He died at 9:17 a.m. Monday, Feb. 17
    , 2003, in Woodland Place, Coolspring Twp, following an extended illne
    ss. He was 78.

    Mr. Dummett was born July 24, 1924, in Wilkinsburg to William B. Dumme
    tt and Alma Gill Dummett.

    He was previously employed as a drill press operator at General Americ
    an Transportation Corp.'s former Masury plant.

    A U.S. Army veteran, Mr. Dummett served in the European theater of ope
    ations during World War II.

    He was of the Protestant faith.

    His wife, the former Betty Jane Barner, whom he married Oct. 29, 1946
    , survives at the residence.

    Also surviving are: three sons, Jack G. Dummett and his wife Ruthie; a
    d Kenneth L. Dummett and his wife Ellen, all Grove City; and Willia
    m A. Dummett, Franklin; two sisters, Mary Reiser, Mercer; and Helen, w
    ife of Robert Barrett, Friendwood, Texas; and six grandchildren and th
    ee great-grandchildren.

    Mr. Dummett was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Martha Por
    sch; and two brothers, William H. and Thomas C. Dummett.

    Mrs. Dorothy Fravel Barner, wife of Maurice Barner died Friday afterno
    on at 1:20 p.m in the Kittanning Hospital, following an operation. Sh
    e became ill on Tuesday and was taken to the hospital Thursday evening
    . Her death came as a shock to the folks of the community, many not kn
    owing of her illness. Mrs. Barner was born at Mill Hall, PA, August 20
    , 1904. The family came to this section about 10 years ago. She is sur
    vived by her husband and three children, Betty, Richard, and Harry al
    l at home. She is also survived by her father, Richard Fravel and th
    e following brothers and sisters. Boyd Fravel, Templeton, Clair Fravel
    , Brooklyn, NY, Bruce Fravel, Lock Haven, Harry Fravel, Syracuse, NY
    , Lee Fravel, Templeton, Mrs. B.G. Williams, Chester, and Mrs Harry Ho
    llabaugh, Clinton. Funeral services will be held from the late home Mo
    day afternoon at 2 p.m. and will be conducted by Rev. Stephen Carnock
    , pastor of the Church of God, assisted by Rev. Walter Kennedy pasto
    of the First Presbyterian Church. Interment will be in Cochran Cemet
