    Harry A. Dummett
    WWII vet worked at GATX and lived in Findley Twp.
    A funeral service will be held Thursday for Harry A. Dummett, 1610 Mer
    cer-Grove City Road, Findley Twp. He died at 9:17 a.m. Monday, Feb. 17
    , 2003, in Woodland Place, Coolspring Twp, following an extended illne
    ss. He was 78.

    Mr. Dummett was born July 24, 1924, in Wilkinsburg to William B. Dumme
    tt and Alma Gill Dummett.

    He was previously employed as a drill press operator at General Americ
    an Transportation Corp.'s former Masury plant.

    A U.S. Army veteran, Mr. Dummett served in the European theater of ope
    ations during World War II.

    He was of the Protestant faith.

    His wife, the former Betty Jane Barner, whom he married Oct. 29, 1946
    , survives at the residence.

    Also surviving are: three sons, Jack G. Dummett and his wife Ruthie; a
    d Kenneth L. Dummett and his wife Ellen, all Grove City; and Willia
    m A. Dummett, Franklin; two sisters, Mary Reiser, Mercer; and Helen, w
    ife of Robert Barrett, Friendwood, Texas; and six grandchildren and th
    ee great-grandchildren.

    Mr. Dummett was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Martha Por
    sch; and two brothers, William H. and Thomas C. Dummett.
