E. Mildred “Betty” Weaver, 82, formerly of 1775 Long Run Road, Mill Ha
ll, died March 25, 2005 at the Susque-View Home Inc., Lock Haven.
Born May 24, 1922 in Monument, she was the daughter of the late Willia
m and Anna Walker Coulter.
Her first husband, Russell E. Garrett, whom she married in November 19
40, died June 30, 1970. Her second husband, Dean W. Weaver, whom she m
arried June 9, 1973, died May 31, 1996.
She had worked at Sylvania Electric, the housekeeping department of Lo
ck Haven Hospital and Lock Haven Housing Authority, retiring in 1973.
She was a member of the Rote United Methodist Church. She enjoyed atte
ding church, crocheting, hook-latching, ceramics and participating i
programs at the Salvation Army.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Norma (Ronald) Killinger of Beech Cr
eek and Mrs. Gail (Eli) Duck of Mill Hall; two step-daughters, Susan Y
ocum of Castanea and Judy Eiseworth of Williamsport; a step-son, Eri
c Weaver of Williamsport; and a sister, Wilma Leazier of Philipsburg
. Also, 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, five step-grandchild
en, two step-great-grandchildren and one step-great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by three sons, Russell E. Garrett Jr., who d
ied May 1, 1998, William B. Garrett, who died May 30, 1997 and Roy M
. Garrett who died Oct. 11, 1994; three brothers and a sister.
Funeral services are 4 p.m. March 29, 2005 at the Dean K. Wetzler Jr
. Funeral Home, 320 Main St., Mill Hall. Rev. P. Franklin Hartzel, he
pastor, will officiate. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. March 28, 200
5 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, #028
, Mill Hall. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabet
es Association in care of the funeral home.
