    Kenneth Robert Stabley Jr. (Rob), 56, of 12 W. Summit St., Avis, passe
    d away April 8, 2018, at his residence. He was born in Lock Haven on M
    arch 10, 1962, to Kenneth R. (Sherry) Stabley Sr. and the late Doroth
    y J. Simcox Stabley.

    Ken graduated from Jersey Shore High School in 1980 and from Penn Coll
    ege in 2004.

    He was employed by Keane Group as a Northeast Truck Supervisor of th
    e sand division. He had previously worked as a mechanic and driver fo
    Trican, and as a maintenance supervisor for Centre Concrete and als
    o International Paper of Lock Haven from 1987 to 2002.

    Ken had served from 1982 to 1987 in the U.S. Army Reserves, he loved r
    acing and driving race cars, camping, four wheeling, board games, putt
    ing puzzles together, and playing his drums and music. He especially l
    oved spending time with his family and many friends. Ken had also bee
    the owner of Scale Racing League in Pennsylvania and Virginia. He al
    so owned and operated Tangent D.J. Service.

    In addition to his father, Ken is survived by his fiance, Sandra Bower
    ; his son, Keegan (Alexa); a daughter, Kirsti (Brion); stepsons, Kenn
    y and Zach; a brother, Kevin (Mary); nephews, Matt, Lee and Kaleb; an
    d a niece, Kara; and his four legged pals, Shania, Rocky, and Sira.

    He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy J. Simcox Stabley an
    d grandparents, William and Edna Simcox, and Robert and Betty Stabley.

    Funeral services for Kenneth R. Stabley Jr. will be held on Thursday
    , April 12, 2018, at 7 p.m. at the Yost-Gedon Funeral Home & Crematio
    Services, LLC, 121 W. Main St., Lock Haven. Officiating will be Past
    or T. R. Hardic of Juniata United Methodist Church, Altoona. Family an
    d friends will be received at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until tim
    e of services.

    In lieu of flower memorials, donations can be made directly to the Yos
    t-Gedon Funeral Home to help defray funeral expenses.

    Robert W. Stabley
    Robert W. Stabley, 85, 195 Stabley Road, Lock Haven, died March 23, 20
    03, at the ManorCare Health Services in Jersey Shore. He had resided t
    here since February of 2002.
    Mr. Stabley was born in McElhattan, Feb. 22, 1918, and was the son o
    f the late Ferguson and Gay Wolfe Stabley.
    He had attended Lock Haven High School, and was a veteran of World Wa
    II, serving with the U.S. Army’s 50th Engineering Combat Battalion.
    Mr. Stabley worked for 10 years in the final assembly department of Pi
    per Aircraft. He then worked for Hammermill Paper Company in various d
    epartments, retiring in 1983 after 30 years of employment.
    During his employment at Piper, he owned and operated Corman’s BBQ o
    Route 150 in Beech Creek for seven years.
    After his retirement from Hammermill, he opened Stabley Family Store i
    McElhattan, now Canasorgu Trading Post, operating it for eight years
    .
    He was a member of the McElhattan United Methodist Church and was a ve
    y avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and motorcyc
    ling.
    Survivors include his wife, Betty Swisher Stabley, whom he married Jun
    e 25, 1939. Also surviving are two sons, Kenneth R. and his wife, Sher
    y L., Stabley of Woolrich and Richard L. Stabley of McElhattan; a bro
    ther, Jack C. Stabley of McElhattan; seven grandchildren; 19 great-gra
    dchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
    Mr. Stabley was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda J. Pursley, wh
    o died on Feb. 19, 1995, and a brother, Ferguson Stabley.
    Funeral services will be Thursday, March 27, 2003, at 11 a.m., in th
    e Yost-Gedon Funeral Home, 121 W. Main St., Lock Haven. Officiating wi
    ll be the Rev. John Baney, formerly of the McElhattan United Methodis
    t Church. Interment will be in Linnwood Cemetery, McElhattan. Friend
    s will be received in the funeral home Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 o
    ’clock. The family suggests, in lieu of flowers, memorials will be acc
    epted to the McElhattan United Methodist Church through the funeral ho
    me.
    Arrangements are being completed by the Yost-Gedon Funeral Home, 121 W
    . Main St., Lock Haven.

    Bettie M. Swisher Stabley, 90, formerly of 195 Stabley Rd., Lock Haven
    , Clinton Co, PAssed away Oct. 5, 2011 at the Manor Care Health Servic
    es in Jersey Shore where she had been a resident.

    She was born in Painted Post, N.Y., July 3, 1921 and was the daughte
    of James and Virginia Straub Swisher.

    Bettie was united in marriage to Robert W. Stabley on June 25, 1939. H
    e preceded her in death March 23, 2003.

    Mrs. Stabley had resided most of her life in the Castanea and McElhatt
    an areas and was a graduate of the Lock Haven High School in 1938.

    Bettie had worked at the former Woolworth Store in Lock Haven. She ha
    d sold clothing and cleaning supplies for a number of years and also w
    orked a number of years in the lab at the Lock Haven Hospital retirin
    g in 1983. She and her husband had owned and operated Stabley's Gas St
    ation in McElhattan.

    Survivors include two sons, Kenneth R. (Sherry) Stabley and Richard L
    . (Maureen) Stabley; two brothers and two sisters; seven grandchildren
    , 14 great grandchildren, and six great great grandchildren.

    Funeral services will be on Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2011, at 10 a.m. in th
    e McElhattan United Methodist Church. Officiating will be Pastor T.R
    . Hardic. Interment will be in the Linnwood Cemetery, McElhattan.

    Family and friends will be received in the Yost Gedon Funeral Home 12
    1 W. Main St. Lock Haven, Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.

    In lieu of flowers, memorials will be accepted to the McElhattan Unite
    d Methodist Church through the funeral home

    Arrangements are under the direction of the Yost-Gedon Funeral Home 12
