Janet C. Schreckengast, 73, of Montoursville, died Thursday, Nov. 15
, 2012 at Valley View Nursing Center.

Born Oct. 21, 1939 in Loganton, she was a daughter of the late Allen E
. and Dessie F. (Douty) Lamey.

She married Raymond Schreckengast and celebrated 51 years together o
June 17.

Janet graduated from Sugar Valley High School and received an elementa
y education degree from Lock Haven State Teachers College. She worke
d as a substitute teacher for Loyalsock Township School district.

Janet was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church, enjoyed music and spen
ding time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Raymond, she is survived by two sons, Kenn
eth (Laura) of Loyalsock Township and Scott (Michelle) of Red Lion; fi
ve grandchildren, Jacob, Ryan, Grace, Sean, and Jonah; and a sister, B
etty (Gene) Harbach of Bedford.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, at St
. Luke Lutheran Church, 1400 Market St., Williamsport, with Rev. Sara
h V. Hershberger, officiating.

Visitation will be held Sunday, Nov. 18 from 6-8 p.m. at St. Luke Luth
eran Church. Burial will be held at Twin Hills Memorial Park, &031 Mun
cy.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Janet's name may be mad
e to the American Diabetes Association, 1701 N. Beauregard St., Alexan
dria, VA 22311 or St. Luke Fund, St. Luke Lutheran Church, 1400 Marke
t St., Williamsport, PA 17701.

Allen E Lamey,95, of Loganton RR2, died Monday July 21 1997 at home.

He was a public school teacher for 45 years and retired in 1963 from t
he former Sugar Valley High School as social studies teacher and direc
tor.

He was active in community bands and played in and directed the Forme
Green Burr Band for many years. He was one of the originators of th
e county band concept.

He was instrumental in forming the Sugar Valley Volunteer Fire Company
.

He was a 1918 graduate of the former Loganton High School and attende
d the Lock Haven Normal School.*

Born Sept 7 1901 in Greene Township he was the son of Calvin & Elsie (
Zeigler) Lamey.

He was predeceased by his wife Dessie E Douty and a brother Howard. Bu
ial will be in the Trinity United Methodist Cemetery Greenburr.
