Lawrence J. (Larry) Schmouder, 68, husband of Barbara E. (Bierly) Schm
ouder of 512 N. Lincoln Ave., Jersey Shore, passed away on Thursday, A
ug. 12, 2010 at home.

Born on Dec. 25, 1941 in Jersey Shore, he was the son of the late Lawr
ence B. and Pearl (Sechrist) Schmouder.

Larry was a Graduate of Jersey Shore High School Class of 1959. He ser
ved as a correctional officer for 10 years with the PA Department of C
orrections.

He served honorably in the United States Navy.

Larry and Barbara were we on July 21, 1962 and shared 48 years of marr
iage this year.

He enjoyed fishing, chair caning and counted cross stitch.

Along with his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Lisa D. Schmouder
; a son, John E. Schmouder; and two sisters, Patricia Lynn and Sharo
Ramage, all of Jersey Shore.

He was predeceased by a brother, James Dunkleberger.

A memorial service will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 19
, 2010 at his home. A visitation will take place from 6:45 p.m. unti
l the time of services, so that all may enjoy his beautiful artwork. S
ervice and military honors will be accorded jointly by the American Le
gion Post No. 36 and VFW No. 5859 of Jersey Shore.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Wayne P. Urbine Funeral Hom
e Inc., 408 S. Main St., Jersey Shore.
