    MILLERSTOWN- Earl Eugene "Cowman" Cauffman, 65 of Millerstown passed a
    way on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 from injuries sustained in an automobi
    le accident.
    He was the husband of Teresa L. "Terry" (Metz) Cauffman to whom he wa
    s married for 34 years.
    Earl was born at home in rural Greenwood Township, Perry County. He wa
    s the son of the late Robert H. and Ardella M. (Gelnett) Cauffman. H
    e was a 1970 graduate of Greenwood High School.
    Earl was engaged in farming all of his life.
    He was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Millerstown, the Newpo
    t Owls Club, Hunters Valley Sportsman's Association, Loyal Order of M
    oose Lodge No. 925, Millerstown, and the American Legion Post No. 364
    , Liverpool.
    Earl loved to be in the outdoors and he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
    In addition to his wife, Earl is survived by his two sons: Brady Cauff
    man of Millerstown and Phil Cauffman at home, four granddaughters: Ash
    ley Berg wife of Travis, Alyssa Cauffman and her fiance Shane Seibert
    , Lauren Dressler and Caitlyn Cauffman; a grandson Cody Cauffman, thre
    e great grandsons: Gadge, Miles, and Brodie Berg; two brothers: Glen C
    auffman and Dean Cauffman both of Millerstown; three nephews, and a ni
    ece.
    Earl was preceded in death by a son Travis Cauffman and a niece Robert
    a "Bobbie Jo" Rumfelt.
    Friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Life Service on Sun
    day, October 22, 2017 at 3:00 PM from the Newport Family Life Center
    , 27 W. Shortcut Road, Newport.

    Ardella Cauffman, 82, of Millerstown RR 1 died Wednesday, May 13, 199
    8 at home.
    She was born Nov. 21, 1915 in Liverpool Twp. to the late Milton and Pe
    arl (Barner) Gelnett.
    She was a graduate of Liverpool High School; a former employee of Mt
    . Hope Dress Factory in Liverpool; and a member of St. Matthew's Luthe
    an Church, Millerstown RR 1, Perry Valley Grange, Millerstown Fire Co
    mpany and Ambulance League.
    Surviving are her husband of 56 years, Robert H. Cauffman; three sons
    , Dean M., Glen R. and Earl E., all of Millerstown; a sister, Marie Sh
    irk of Selinsgrove; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren
    .
    She was preceded in death by one brother, Clayton, and one sister, Mil
    dred Witmer.
    Services were held May 17 in her church with the Rev. Paul W. Case off
    iciating. Burial was in the church cemetery.

    MRS. G. PEARL GELNETT

    LIVERPOOL - Mrs. G. Pearl Gelnett, 92, Liverpool RD1, died Saturday
    morning in the Perry Village, New Bloomfield, where she had been a
    esident since Feb. 3. Before being admitted there, she had been
    confined to her home for several years.
    Born Dec. 29, 1890, in Millerstown RD2, she was the daughter of the
    late Jacob and Alice Deckard Barner. Her husband, Milton Gelnett,
    died in 1976. The couple farmed their entire working lifetime.
    Mrs. Gelnett was a member of St. John's (Barner's) Lutheran Church
    and Sunday School, Liverpool RD1.
    Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Mildred Witmer of Liverpool
    RD1, Mrs. Robert Cauffman of Millerstown RD1, and Mrs. Herman Shirk
    of Selinsgrove; one son, Clayton B. of Liverpool RD1; eight
    grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
    A son, Bruce, died in 1911.
    The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. tomorrow in the George P.
    Garman Funeral Home, Liverpool, by the .
    Burial will be in Barner's (Saint John's) Lutheran Church Cemetery Liv
    erpool RD 1, Perry Co, PA, Liverpool RD1.
    Friends may call in the funeral home this evening.
