    ton County. Born Aug. 30, 1949, in Lock Haven, he was the son of the l
    ate Ray R. Strouse and Jean L. Miller Strouse, of Lamar. He married Ki
    tty Jo Barner Strouse on April 26, 1969. He was a self-employed contra
    ctor and a 1967 graduate of Bald Eagle Nittany. He was a member of th
    e Clintondale United Methodist Church and D. B. Hunting Camp. He was a
    lso a former Porter Twp Supervisor. In addition to his wife and mother
    , he is survived by two daughters, Paula J. Dickey, of Lock Haven, Les
    lie J. (David Corl) Eisenhower, of Howard; four brothers, Monty Strous
    e, of Centre Hall, Kerry Strouse, of Rote, Ronald Strouse, of Mill Hal
    l, Kim Strouse, also of Mill Hall; two sisters, Spring Mosser, of Mill
    ersburg, Pa., Heather Selfe, Dillsberg, Pa.; and five grandchildren, J
    eff and Brady Dickey, Cooper Wian, Haley Eisenhower, and Amber Corl. C
    alling hours will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2008, at the Donal
    d G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington. Funeral wil
    l be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 6, 2008, at the Clintondale United Meth
    odist Church, with the Rev. Joan Gordon officiating. Interment will b
    e at Mt. Bethel Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cl

    Paul Leslie Strouse, 59, of 277 Fishing Creek Rd., Mill Hall, died Nov
    . 2, 2008, in Porter Twp, Clinton County.

    He was born Aug. 30, 1949 in Lock Haven, a son of the late Ray R. Stro
    use and Jean L. Miller Strouse of Lamar.

    He was a self-employed contractor.

    Paul graduated from Bald Eagle-Nittany High School in 1967. He was a m
    ember of the Clintondale United Methodist Church and D.B. Hunting Club
    . He was a former Porter Twp supervisor.

    On April 26, 1969 he married Kitty Jo Barner Strouse.

    Surviving besides his mother and wife are two daughters, Paula J. Dick
    ey of Lock Haven, and Leslie J. (David Corl) Eisenhower of Howard; fou
    brothers, Monty Strouse of Centre Hall, Kerry Strouse of Rote, Ronal
    d Strouse and Kim Strouse, both of Mill Hall; two sisters, Spring Moss
    er of Millersburg and Heather Selfe of Dillsburg; and five grandchildr
    en, Jett and Brady Dickey, Cooper Wian, Haley Eisenhower and Amber Cor
    l.

    Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 6, 2008, at Clinton
    dale United Methodist Church. The Rev. Joan Gordon will officiate. Int
    erment will be in Mt. Bethel Cemetery.

    Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Donald G. Walke
    Funeral Home, 231 High St., Flemington.

    Memorial contributions may be made to the Clinton County Community Nur
    sing Hospice or Clintondale United Methodist Church.

    Mahlon A. (Wayne) Barner October 31, 1927 April 9, 2015 Mahlon A. " Wa
    yne" Barner, 87, of Mill Hall, died April 9, 2015, at the Geisinger Me
    dical Center, Danville. He was born Oct. 31, 1927, in Mill Hall, the s
    on of the late Harry B. and Vera Heeman Barner. On Dec. 6, 1947, he ma
    ied the former Christine Murty who survives at home. Wayne retired i
    1990 after 15 years from the Bellefonte School District where had be
    en Supervisor of Maintenance. He had previously worked for Opalco Labo
    atories in McKeesport. A 1945 graduate of the Hublersburg High School
    , Mr. Barner was a WW II veteran serving in the U.S. Navy as S1C. He s
    erved on the USS Detroit, the USS Gustafson and the USS Helios. For hi
    s service, he was awarded the Pacific Theater Ribbon with one Servic
    e Star, the American Theater Ribbon and the Victory Medal. Wayne atten
    ded the Clintondale United Methodist Church, Bellefonte Lodge # 26
    8 F & AM and Centre Forest 129, Tall Cedars of Lebanon. In addition t
    o his wife, he is survived by: one daughter, Kitty Jo Strouse, Mill Ha
    ll; four grandchildren, Paula Dickey, Leslie Eisenhower, Guy (Angela
    ) Heckman and Wayne (Nichole) Heckman; nine great-grandchildren; fiv

    Christine M. Barner, 88, of 277 Fishing Creek Road, Mill Hall, died Ap
    il 22, 2016, at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

    Born Nov. 5, 1927, in Lock Haven, she was the daughter of the late Eug
    ene E. and Nellie R. Berry Murty. On Dec. 6, 1947, she married Mahlo
    A. "Wayne" Barner, who died April 9, 2015.

    Christine was a homemaker who earlier in life had worked at Sylvania
    , Woolworth's in McKeesport, and Stover's Hoagies. She was a member o
    f the Clintondale United Methodist Church and the Order of Eastern Sta
    . Christine was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan, especially the Pittsbu
    gh Pirates, and she enjoyed reading and doing crossword puzzles.

    Christine is survived by one daughter, Kitty Jo Strouse of Mill Hall
    ; one sister, Leanna (Richard) Leuser of Grampian; four grandchildren
    , Paula Dickey, Leslie (Jean Lundy) Eisenhower, Guy (Angela) Heckman a
    d Wayne (Nichole) Heckman; and nine great-grandchildren.

    She was preceded in death by one daughter, Carol Heckman who died Dec
    . 17, 2014; one sister, Lillian Benner; and three brothers, John Berry
    , Harry and Arthur Murty.

    A service honoring the memory of Christine M. Barner will be held Thur
    sday, April 28, 2016, at 11:30 a.m. in the Lamar United Methodist wit
    h Pastor Kim Cartwright, her pastor, officiating. Interment, Hublersbu
    g Cemetery. Friends will be received in the church from 10 a.m. unti
    l time of services.

    Memorial contributions may be made to the Clintondale United Methodis
    t Church through the funeral home.
