David E. Deal, 60, of Shippensburg, PA, died Sunday, March 6, 2011 i
his home.

David was born August 26, 1950 in Waynesboro, Franklin Co, PA, he wa
s a son of the late Clyde W. and Isabelle Sprenkle Deal.

He was the owner and operator of Ideal Heating and Air Conditioning i
Shippensburg. David was a graduate of the Smithsburg High School an
d enjoyed gardening, cooking, crafts, fishing, hunting and trips to th
e beach.

He is survived by his companion, Kathy R. Barner Myers, one son, Joshu
a D. Deal and his wife Heather of Shippensburg, PA, three daughters; A
my R. Myers and her husband Jeffrey of Hagerstown, MD, Charity D. Rose
berry and her husband Steve of Dover, PA, and Amanda H. Deal of Chamb
ersburg, PA, five grandchildren; Ashlee, Breanna, Joshua, Jr., Destine
e, and Alyssa, his companions children; Kara, Kelsey, and Colin Myer
s all of Shippensburg, PA, three brothers; Jerry Deal of Boonsboro, MD
, Timothy Deal, and Dennis Deal both of Smithsburg, MD, three sisters
; Doris Kershner of Berryville, VA, Sandra Deal of Missoula, MT, and B
arbara Gardenhour of Smithsburg, MD.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at 11 a.m. in t
he Prince Street United Brethren Church in Shippensburg, PA. Officiati
g will be The Rev. James O. Bolich. Burial will be in Parklawns Memor
ial Gardens. A viewing will be held Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. in t
he Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home Inc., Shippensburg.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Prince St
eet United Brethren Church, 17 N. Penn St., Shippensburg, PA 17257 o

George H. Barner, 85, of 32 Stewart Place died yesterday at home.

He was a retired electrician and a member of International Brotherhoo
d of Electrical Workers and Cumberland Valley Hose Company.

He was the widower of Katherine Fitzgerald Barner. Surviving are two s
ons, George H. Jr. and John L., both of Shippensburg; a daughter, Bett
y L. Bernard of Carlisle; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren
; and one great-great-granddaughter.

Services will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday in Fogelsanger-Bricker Funera
l Home. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.

Viewing will be from 4 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
