    MOUNT PLEASANT MILLS - Park R. “Shorty” Aucker, 88, of Mount Pleasan
    t Mills, entered into rest on Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at the Richfi
    eld Senior Living and Rehabilitation Center, Richfield.

    Park was born Jan. 26, 1925, in Pfoutz Valley, Perry Co, the son of th
    e late John Raymond and Queen Elizabeth (Rapp) Aucker. He was marrie
    d to the former Loretta J. Barner, who preceded him on Dec. 23, 2008.

    He attended Stahl’s Schoolhouse, where he later lived until his move t
    o the Richfield Senior Living and Rehabilitation Center.

    He was employed by Stuck Lumber Co. for 48 years. He retired in 1998 a
    d still enjoyed visiting and having coffee with his co-workers.

    Park was a member of Richfield United Methodist Church and served on i
    ts council. He also was a member of the Richfield Ambulance League.

    Park enjoyed hunting, watching “Wheel of Fortune” and the Philadelphi
    a Phillies. He especially enjoyed spending time in his workshop and wi
    th his family and friends.

    He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, John L. and Barbara Auc
    ker, of Beavertown; one daughter, Connie Weber, of Middleburg; five gr
    andchildren and their spouses, Brian E. Aucker, John L. II and Kiley A
    ucker, Nichole Weber-Hockenbrock, William “Skip” II and Michele Webe
    and Thaddeus J. and Sara Weber; seven great-grandchildren, Paige Ma
    e Aucker, Olivia and Nora Hockenbrock, William “Liam” Weber IV, Alejan
    dra Weber, Isabel Weber and Elizabeth Weber; two sisters and one broth
    er-in-law, Virginia Hornberger, of Richfield, and Mildred and Ron Bend
    er, of Akron, OH; one brother-in-law, Robert Barner, of Richfield; on
    e sister-in-law, Beatrice Day, of Lansdale; and many nieces and nephew
    s.

    Friends and family are invited to the viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. Monda
    y at Richfield United Methodist Church, Church Street, Richfield, foll
    owed by the funeral at 11 with Pastor Vernon E. Shenberger officiating
    .

    Burial will be in Richfield Union Cemetery.

    In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made in loving memory of Park to Rich
    field United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 206, Richfield, PA 17086.

    The George P. Garman Funeral Homes Inc., 9366 Route 35, Mount Pleasan
    t Mills, has been entrusted with the arrangements.

    Park married Loretta Jean BARNER on 26 Nov 1948. Loretta (daughter of Leslie Taft (twin) BARNER and Josephine Elizabeth WAGNER) was born on 5 Aug 1931 in Bannerville, Snyder Co, PA; died on 23 Dec 2008 in Mt. Pleasant Mills, Perry Twp, Snyder Co, PA; was buried in Richfield Union Cemetery - Richfield. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
