f Smullton, died Wednesday, June 20, 2007, at Centre Crest Nursing Hom
e, Bellefonte. Born on June 24, 1922 in Rebersburg, she was the daught
er of the late Rufus Brungart and Ruth Mae Royer. On July 2, 1940, sh
e married Dean R. Matter, who preceded her in death on December 31, 19
93. Helen was a Graduate of Miles Twp High School. During her lifetim
e she was a homemaker. She was also a member of St. Peter's United Chu
ch of Christ, Rebersburg. She formerly served as the local chairman o
f the Salvation Army. She also served on the Adult Fellowship committe
e and the Hostess committee at Saint Peter's United Church of Christ
. She helped with the church newsletter. Helen enjoyed gardening and t
he history of Miles Twp. Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m.
, Saturday, June 23, at the Steven R. Neff Funeral Home, Millheim. Th
e funeral service will take place 11 a.m., Saturday, June 23, at the f
uneral home with Rev. Nancy Kuhns officiating. Interment will be hel
d at Lutheran Reformed, Rebersburg. Memorial gifts may be made to th
