Obituary for Dianne Elaine Higginbotham
Dianne Elaine Higginbotham, 70, of Grimms Landing passed away Thursday
, March 12, 2015 at Cornerstone Hospital, Huntington following a lon
g illness. She was a 1963 graduate of Point Pleasant High School an
d a retiree of the former Stone & Thomas Distribution Center in Poca
. Dianne was a member of the Buffalo Church of God, and a member of Bu
ffalo Chapter No. 150, Order of the Eastern Star. She was preceded i
death by a sister, Barbara Hayes.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Kermit Higginbotham; parent
s, Richard and Lenora Grimm of Grimm’s Landing; son, Kermit E. (Ladonn
a) Higginbotham of Eleanor; daughters, Donyia (Terry) Garrison of Elea
or, and Tischa (Jason Griffith) Newman of Buffalo; brothers, Stephe
Savage of New Jersey, and Rodney Barner of Hilton Head, SC; sisters
, Carleen Bailes of Point Pleasant, Kathy Means of Grove City, Ohio, S
usan Truitt and Toni Higginbotham, both of Grimm’s Landing, and Lisa R
eedy of Buffalo; grandchildren, Terryn Higginbotham, “Sam” Newman, Jac
ob Higginbotham, and Kenzie Higginbotham; great-grandson, Bentley Garr
ison; and special friend, Debbie Hazelwood.
The family would like to extend special thanks to the Cornerstone Hosp
ital for their outstanding care.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 16, 2015 at Ra
ynes Funeral Home Buffalo with Pastor Jake Eldridge officiating. Buria
l will follow in Buffalo Memorial Park, Buffalo. Visitation will be he
ld from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. Sunday, March 15, with an O.E.S. service to b
e held at 7:30 P.M.
