Obituary
Barner, Dawn V. age 75, of Orlando, passed away December 30, 2011. Sh
e was born March 9, 1936 in Loch Haven, PA. Mrs. Barner was a teache
for 37 years. She began her teaching career in Pennsylvania and in 1
961 moved to Orlando. Her career with OCPS began in 1971 first teachin
g at Walker Middle School then at Dr. Phillips High School. She wa
s a member of First United Methodist Church and sang with various grou
ps including the Bach Choir. Mrs. Barner is survived by her son, Brett
; daughter, Barrie; grandchildren, Sean, Parisa, Max and Jack. A memor
ial service will be held Saturday, Jan. 7, 2012 at 10 am in the chape
l of First United Methodist Church, 142 E. Jackson Street Orlando, F
L 32801. Arrangements under the direction of Colonial Chapel/Carey Han
d, Orlando, FL.
