Carrie Ann Sieg
Carrie Ann (Lupold) Sieg went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Feb. 4, 2
007, at home in the presence of her family after battling a courageou
s fight with cancer.
Born July 28, 1950, in Muncy, she was the daughter of the late Georg
e and Wanda (Voneida) Lupold.
Carrie was blessed to become the wife of Richard L. Sieg on Nov. 9, 19
68.
For the past eight years, Carrie was employed by Springs Window Fashio
s, Montgomery. Prior to that, while living in Ringtown, she worked fo
twelve years at McDonald’s in Frackville and later for Boboli of Haz
leton.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Muncy.
Carrie loved baking, camping, reading and watching her grandchildren p
articipate in their sports. However, spending time with her husband, c
hildren and grandchildren was the joy of her life.
Surviving in addition to her husband, Richard, are one son, Michael (D
eanna) Sieg of Hughesville; two daughters, Nicol (Kevin) Styer of Munc
y and Tina (David) Gottshall of Shenandoah; 12 grandchildren and thre
e great-grandchildren. The youngest of seven siblings, she also leave
s two sisters, Joyce Klusman of Montgomery and Janice Oden of Muncy; f
our brothers, Gene Lupold of Clarkstown, Roger Lupold of Hughesville
, George Lupold of Muncy and Sherman Lupold of Bel Air, Md.; and numer
ous nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 8, at Grenoble’s, 121 S
. Main St., Muncy. Officiating will be her pastor, the Rev. Michael R
. Gardy. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park, Montgomery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. on Wedne
sday.
The family will provide the flowers and suggests contributions in Carr
ie’s name be made to either the American Cancer Society, Lycoming Unit
, 1948 E. Third St., Williamsport, PA 17701 or to the Alika Foundation
, 969 Rt. 654 Highway, Williamsport, PA 17701, in honor of Lillian Gra
ce Gallagher (who was like Carrie’s thirteenth grandchild).
