Lee E. Lamey

Lee E. Lamey, 66, husband of Virginia (Bartley) Lamey, of 126 Chestnu
t St., Howard, passed away on Monday, Feb. 12, 2007 at the Mt. Nittan
y Medical Center, State College.
Born in Greene Twp, Clinton Co, on July 25, 1940, he was the son of th
e late Clair W. and Lucille (Embick) Lamey.
For many years he was a dairy farmer and retired from Corning Glass, S
tate College, in 1999, after 17 years of service.
He and his wife had provided transportation for the Amish community.
He was a veteran on the U.S. Army.
Along with his wife of 47 years, he is survived by two sons, Donald La
mey of Fayette and Robert Lamey of Howard; four daughters, Kathryn Lam
ey of Orviston, Karen Walk of Port Matilda, Kay Lamey of Phillipsbur
g and Konnie Hosterman of Bellefonte; a brother, Wayne Lamey of Mill H
all; two sisters, Eileen Snook and Hilda Wagner, both of Loganton; 2
2 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was also predeceased by a daughter, Kelly Lamey.
The funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 16, 2007 i
the Wayne P. Urbine Funeral Home Inc., 95 E. Main St., Loganton, wit
h the Rev. Mike Covalt officiating. Visitation will take place in th
e funeral home on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. Private interment will tak
e place in the Trinity United Methodist Church Cemetery, Greenburr.
