Tyrone, son of Howard and Susan (Davidson) Brickley. She is survive
d by his wife, Grace (Barner); children: Darla Rapski, Robert and Roge
. He was an Army veteran of WWII. Friends will be received from 2 t
o 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Mark A. Serenko Funeral Home, Portage
, and 10 to the 11 a.m. service Friday at Bethany United Methodist Chu
ch, Portage.

BRICKLEY - Dallas G. “Dal,” Portage, went to his eternal home on his 9
0th birthday, Dec. 9, 2008, at Memorial Palative Care Unit, surrounde
d by members of his loving family who sang happy birthday to him befor
e he passed. Born Dec. 9, 1918, in Tyrone, son of Howard and Susan (Da
vidson) Brickley. Preceded in death by parents; in-laws, Francis and D
orothy (Calderwood) Barner; brother, Harold Brickley, and wife, Tillie
; brother-in-law, Donald Ellenberger; and sister-in-law, Jennie (Barne
) Kruis, and husband, Vaughn. Survived by loving of wife of 64 years
, Grace (Barner) Brickley; daughter, Darla, wife of Neil Rapski, Porta
ge; sons, Robert Brickley, married to the former Maria Kunrod, Portage
, and Roger Brickley, married to the former Monica Spaid, Wilmington
, Del.; grandchildren: Matt (Tammy) and Brian (Elizabeth), both of Del
aware; Karen Plummer, Greensburg; Chad (Bridget), Mifflinburg; and Eri
ck (Cindy), Portage; great-grandchildren, Logan, Cierra, Hunter, Kaida
ce, Haley, Hannah, Abby, Aidan, Sam, Jon and Luke; numerous nieces an
d nephews; sister-in-law, Dorothy Ellenberger, Enola; and brother-in-l
aw, Francis Barner, and wife, Beverly, Tyrone. Dallas loved his grandc
hildren and was very meticulous about taking care of his property an
d lawn. U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Retired from A&P; Co. as su
pervisor of the meat department with 35 years’ service. Life member o
f Portage Volunteer Fire Company. Member of Cambria County Firemen’s A
ssociation, Post 430 American Legion, Portage Senior Citizens Center
, Senior Activities Center of Cambria Co, and former member of Summi
t Lodge 312 F&AM;, Ebensburg. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 6 t
o 8 p.m. Thursday at the Mark A. Serenko Funeral Home, Portage, wher
e the Portage Fire Company will have a memorial service at 7 p.m. Frie
