Charles E. Barner Sr.
Charles E. Barner Sr., 46, of 8279 Route 44 North Highway, Jersey Shor
e, died Feb. 4, 2003, in Cummings Twp, Lycoming County.
Born Aug. 23, 1956 in Lock Haven, he was the son of Rea M. Barner an
d the late Park E.M. Barner.
He was married to Carey M. Baker Barner.
He was an avid hunter and active follower of Central Mountain footbal
l and wrestling. He was a member of the Jersey Shore Elks, Lock Have
American Legion, and area dart and pool leagues.
Surviving are three sons, Charles E. Barner Jr. of Beech Creek, Christ
opher C. Barner of Loganton and Eric M. Barner of Loganton; a step-son
, Michael S. Penton of Jersey Shore; a daughter, Sally A. Barner Kee
of Farrandsville; a step-daughter, Melissa A. Lindquist of Enola
; a brother, William Barner of Mill Hall; two half-brothers, David Van
derpool of Indiana and Park Barner Jr. of Mill Hall; two sisters, Debr
a R. Gentile of Castanea and Tina M. Wilkins of Zion; two grandchildre
and four step-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Saturday, Feb. 8, 2003, at 10 a.m., in the Do
ald G. Walker Funeral Home, 231 High St., Flemington. The Rev. Elle
Evans will officiate. Interment will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, #028
. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
Vandalism
MILL HALL - Somebody threw a hard object off the rear window of a park
ed vehicle owned by Charles Edward Barner, 41, of 2 First St., Mill Ha
ll, state police at Lamar said.
The incident occurred near the Barner home Sunday at 2:20 p.m., polic
e said. Damage was estimated at $150. Anybody with information is aske
d to call state police at 726-6000.
