Darla Kay Ferree
Darla Kay Ferree, 77, of West Third Street, Lock Haven, passed away o
Saturday, Aug. 6, 2016 at her residence.
Born on Nov. 20, 1938 in Salona, she was the daughter of Lloyd Krame
who survives in Mill Hall and the late Thelma Bower Kramer.
Darla was a 1956 graduate of Lock Haven High School.
She was employed as a secretary at Dunkle & Grieb before working at Lo
ck Haven University as the office manager for food services until he
retirement.
Darla attended the Church of Christ, Rote.
She enjoyed reading and loved caring for her cats, Ginger, Calico an
d Sugarplum.
In addition to her father, Lloyd Kramer, she is survived by her husban
d, Richard Ferree of Lock Haven; a son, David C. (Lori) Glossner II o
f Mill Hall; three grandchildren, David C. Glossner III, Galon Glossne
, and Christine Brooks; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Clai
(Ellen) Kramer of Mill Hall and Michael (Darlene) Kramer of Georgia
; a sister, Cindy (Larry) Rhine of Mill Hall; a brother-in-law, Willia
m E. Ferree Jr. of Mill Hall; and a sister-in-law, Judy Kramer of Mil
l Hall.
Along with her mother, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter
, Kelly Ferree; a brother, Donald Kramer; her father-in-law and mother
-in-law, William E. and Mary Madeline “Maddie” Ferree Sr.; and a broth
er-in-law, James Carl Ferree.
Private services will take place at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Darla’s name may be mad
e to the Clinton County SPCA, 33 Mill Hill Road, Lock Haven.
