Earl Paul Robb, 64, of Centre Hall, died on Wednesday, April 23, 2003
, at Centre Community Hospital.
Born on Jan. 1, 1939, in Flemington, he was a son of the late Mildre
d Miller and Harold F. Robb Sr.
On Aug. 20, 1960, he married Myrtle I. Grove. He was a devoted husban
d of 42 years.
He was a 1956 graduate of Lock Haven High School, and a 1960 graduat
e of Lock University. In 1969, he received his master's degree in coun
seling from Bucknell University.
For three years he was an elementary school teacher in Montpelier, OH
. He was a guidance counselor in the Penns Valley Area School Distric
t for 33 years, retiring in 1995. He served as a guidance counselor an
d teacher and was on the coaching staff of many sports in the district
. For 10 years, he was a counselor at the State Correctional Instituti
on at Rockview.
He was a pastor at the Penn's Creek Emmanuel United Church of Christ f
or four years and was currently the pastor of the Hironimus Union Chur
ch in Weikert. He served on the planning committee for the Christian R
etreat Center for the Brethren in Christ Denomination in East Waterfor
d.
He enjoyed fishing, ministering to people, gardening, hunting, fly tyi
g, coaching and family activities. He received a 4-H State Award.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Kendra Long
, of Centre Hall, and Denise and her husband, Robert June, of Avis
; a son, Shawn, and his wife, Jennifer Robb, of Centre Hall; three sis
ters, Grace Forney, of Lock Haven, Barbara Jackson, of Howard and Vick
i Sullivan, of Denver; a brother, Harold F. Robb Jr,. of Mill Hall; an
d five grandchildren, Jason Falls, Kevin Falls, Rachel Long, Kristy Gr
eefkes and Jason June.
Friends will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday and from 1 to 3 p.m
. Saturday at the Cedar Heights Brethren in Christ Church, 37 Cedar He
ights Road, Mill Hall.
The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at the church.
Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, #028, Lamar Twp, Clinton Co, PA
, Clinton County.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hironimus Un
ion Church in Weikert or to the Christian Retreat Center, East Waterfo
d in care of Yost-Gedon Funeral Home, 121 W. Main St., Lock Haven, Cl
