Warren C. Houseknecht Jr., 54, of Williamsport, died Tuesday, Oct. 15
, 2013, at his home following an extended illness.
Born March 27, 1959, in Muncy, he was a son of Warren C. and Ninabell
e (Ohmneiss) Houseknecht. He married Mary R. Danneker and celebrated 3
6 years together.
He worked as a sales representative at Susquehanna Paper for 36 years
. Warren was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Parish. He enjoyed hunt
ing, fishing, gardening and spending time with his family, especiall
y his grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to his wife and mother are two sons, Warren D.
, of Williamsport and SSGT Matthew A. Houseknecht, of Dover, Del.; tw
o daughters, Jennifer M. Brainard (Matthew F.) and Melanie A. Housekne
cht, both of Williamsport; four grandchildren, Madison R. Houseknecht
, Mackenzie L. Houseknecht, Issac M. Brainard and Ian M. Brainard; tw
o brothers, twin brother Wayne C., of Williamsport, and Max R., of Sou
th Williamsport; one sister, Donna M. Fry, of Trout Run; and several n
ieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father; a son, Michael J. Houseknecht
, and a sister, Catherine R. Overdorf.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Josep
h the Worker Parish, 702 W. Fourth St., Williamsport. Burial will be h
eld at Resurrection Cemetery, Montoursville. A viewing will be hel
d 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Knight-Confer Funeral Home, 1914 Memorial Ave.
, Williamsport.
