Violet M. Miller, 80, of Loganton, died Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2004, at Loc
k Haven Hospital Extended Care Unit.
Born Dec. 20, 1923, in Beech Creek, she was a daughter of the late Har
y D. and Olive Fravel Peters.
She married Ardell S. Miller, who survives at home.
She was a 1941 graduate of Lock Haven High School.
She worked for Piper Aircraft in the stock room from 1941 to 1947.
She was a member of the Albright United Methodist Church.
She was also a member of the Sugar Valley Fire Company Number 13, a ch
arter member of the Sugar Valley Fire Company Auxiliary, and served a
s treasurer of the Tylersville Cemetery since 1964.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Lorraine Ru
pert and her husband, Leroy, of Lamar; a son, Barry Miller and his wif
e, Carol, of Lamar; and three grandchildren, Christopher Rupert and Mi
chael and Scott Miller.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Wayne P. Urbine Funeral H
ome Inc., Main and Water streets, Loganton.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Re
v. Nancy Kuhns officiating.
Burial will be in Tylersville Cemetery.
