ALBERT L. BARNER
MILLERSTOWN-Albert L. Barner, 74, Millerstown RD2, Perry Co,
died this morning at his home. He had been in reclining health for
the past year and hospitalized on several occasions during that
period.
Born Oct. 27, 1911, at Millerstown RD2, Perry Co, he was a son
of the late Charles P. and Annie (Spicher) Barner. In 1935, he
married the former A. Pauline Goodling,
The couple lived in the area all their married life where they
farmed, retiring in 1973.
Mr. Barner was a member of Barner's Lutheran Church, Liverpool RD1,
and Liverpool Fire Company; and a member and director of Barner's
Cemetery Association.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Misses
Shirley J. and June L., both at home, and Mrs. Carol Hoffman of
Richfield RD1; a granddaughter; and a sister, Mrs. Helen Mitchell of
Liverpool. A daughter, Geraldine, died in 1936.
The funeral will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Barner's
Lutheran Church, Liverpool RD1, by the Rev. Rodney Lilley. Burial
will be in Barner's (Saint John's) Lutheran Church Cemetery Liverpoo
l RD 1, Perry Co, PA, Liverpool RD1.
Visitors may call at the George P. Garman Funeral Home, Liverpool,
Wednesday evening and at the church Thursday from 9 a.m. until the
time of the service.
