    Celia Lysaght Obituary

Celia Lyn Lysaght, 74, of Duncannon, formerly of Dauphin, PA., found peace, by comfortably leaving this worldly life as she slept, on July 9, 2023.

Celia was born in Harrisburg, PA., to Edward and Madelyn (Gamby) Lysaght on November 4, 1948.

Celia was an intelligent, college educated woman and an avid reader. After graduating from Central Dauphin East High School, she attended Juniata College and University of Virginia, Charlottesville, studying pre-med and nursing. The topics Celia loved reading, and talking about were histories of WW2, the British Royal Family, The Pope's and Roman Catholic church, the Kennedys and governmental history like the Watergate Scandal. Her brother recalls a conversation with her in which he was reading about early Roman history. He was confused about an emperor of the period. Sure enough, Celia popped right back with a gentle correction as to the proper Roman emperor!

Celia loved gatherings with cousins and family. She always looked forward to the extended family vacations at the Cabin in Cross Forks, PA. or her Uncle Barney's river cabin on the Susquehanna river. Later in life some of her fondest memories and reminiscences were of those summer vacations, often remembering many details which were long lost to family history. Celia had a remarkable memory recalling birthdays, anniversaries, and uncountable facts and figures.
Celia is survived by two brothers, Gary Lysaght of Harrisburg, and Daniel (Tammy) Lysaght, of Newport, PA.
Interment will be in Barner's Cemetery, Liverpool, PA. with her grandparents, in a private ceremony at the convenience of her family. The arrangements are entrusted to Jesse H. Geigle Funeral Home.

Special thanks and appreciation go out from Celia and her family to Celia's niece Erin McCabe Lysaght, and her former sister-in-law Jill McCabe for the loving assistance and comfort measures provided to Celia in her final days.
