LEWISTOWN - Alexander John Ridley, 61, of Rear 406 S. Brown St., Lewis
town, died at 8:43 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 20, 2009, at Hershey Medical Ce
ter.
Born June 17, 1948, in Dauphin Co, he was a son of the late Alexande
Richchuck and Zorie R. (Ridley) Runkel. His first wife, Vonnie M. (B
arner) Ridley, preceded him in death. He is survived by his second wif
e, Stella M. (Caplinger) Ridley.
Also surviving: his children, Alex C. Ridley, of Middletown, Alexande
Junior Ridley, of Abbottstown, John S. Sonon, of Mifflintown, Dawn M
. Ridley, of Harrisburg, Angel L. Ridley, of Carlisle and Jessica Walk
er and husband Brian, of Newport; stepsons, Terry A. Ridley Jr., of Ne
w Cumberland, Jessie J. Ridley, of Camp Hill, Elvis T. Ridley, of Lanc
aster and Travis R. Nissley, of Lebanon; stepdaughters, Treasa M. Rive

He is also survived by: sisters, Emma Faux, of Newark, Del.; Peggy S
. Bell and husband Robert, of Harrisburg; a brother, Edward F. Runke
l Sr., of Lewistown; four grandsons; five step-grandsons; two great-gr
anddaughters; two step great - granddaughters and a number of nieces a
d nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and first wife, he was preceded in death b
y a daughter, Lisa J. Ridley.
He was a laborer for H & M Road Paving. He enjoyed hunting and fishing
.
His funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 24 at Hoensti
e Funeral Home Inc., 75 Logan St., Lewistown, with the Rev. Kenneth G
ove officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Miffintow
.
Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. Monday until the time of serv
ice at the funeral home.
