    Robert E. Karicher, 95, of Williamsport, passed away with family by hi
    s side on Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2017, at ManorCare North in Williamsport
    .

    Born July 2, 1921, in Williamsport, he was the only son of George H. a
    d Martha B. (Beal) Karicher.

    Robert graduated from Williamsport Area High School and served his cou
    try in the U.S. Army during World War II. He retired as an inspecto
    from Textron after 30 years of employment. Robert enjoyed playing Bi
    go and traveling.

    Surviving are three children, Robert A. (Deborah) Karicher, of McKinne
    y, Texas, Susan D. Karicher, of Hudson, N.Y. and Amy M. Swank, of Mont
    oursville; his companion of 25 years, Harriett Kitchen, of Williamspor
    t; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

    Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Janice L. (Kitchen) Karicher
    .

    Burial will be held privately at Twin Hills Memorial Park, &031 Muncy.

    Memorial contributions may be made in Robert’s name to the Lycoming Co
    unty S.P.C.A., 2805 Reach Road, Williamsport, PA 17701.
