    HOWARD EARL BARNER Neversink, N.Y. Howard Earl Barner, a retired elect
    ician for The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and a 30-yea
    resident of the area, entered into rest Saturday, February 16, 2002
    , at home. He was 74. The son of George Barner and Lottie May Parker
    , he was born February 17, 1927 in OH. Mr. Barner served in the Unite
    d States Coast Guard. He was a member of the Senior Citizens of the To
    wn of Neversink and the Grahamsville United Methodist Church. He is su
    vived by one daughter, Eileen Kay Barner of Ariz.; one son, Howard Ba
    er of Grahamsville; two granddaughters, Stacy and Christine Barner
    , both of Grahamsville; three sisters, Wilma Baldwin, Marianne Evlek
    y and Alva Pribe, all of OH; one daughter-in-law, Janet Carey of Graha
    msville; and a dear family friend, Donna Smith. He is predeceased by t
    hree brothers and one sister. Friends and family may call from 2 t
    o 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, February 18, at Colonial Memorial Fun
    eral Home, 396 Main Street, Woodbourne. A funeral service will be hel
    d at 11 a.m., Tuesday, February 19, at Grahamsville United Methodist C
    hurch, Grahamsville. The Rev. Lorraine Ackerman will officiate. Cremat
    ion will take place at Cedar Hill Crematory. Donations in Mr. Barner'
    s name may be made to the Grahamsville United Methodist Church Hall Fu
    d, Grahamsville, N.Y. 12760. Arrangements are under the direction o
    f Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, Woodbourne.

    Howard Earl Barner of Neversink, a retired electrician for The Port Au
    thority of New York and New Jersey and a 30-year area resident, died S
    aturday, February 16, 2002, at his home. He was 74 years of age.
    The son of the late George and Lottie May Parker Barner, he was born F
    ebruary 17, 1927, in OH.
    A veteran of the United States Coast Guard, he was a member of the Sen
    ior Citizens of the Town of Neversink and the Grahamsville United Meth
    odist Church.
    He is survived by a daughter, Eileen Kay Barner of Arizona; a son, How
    ard Barner of Grahamsville; two granddaughters, Stacy and Christine Ba
    er, both of Grahamsville; three sisters, Wilma Baldwin, Marianne Ful
    eky and Alva Pribe, all of OH; a daughter-in-law, Janet Carey of Graha
    msville; and a dear family friend, Donna Smith. He was predeceased b

    Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Grahamsville U
    ited Methodist Church with the Rev. Lorraine Ackerman officiating.
    Cremation will be made at the Cedar Hill Crematory in Middle Hope.
    Memorial contributions may be made to the Grahamsville United Methodis
    t Church Hall Fund, Grahamsville, N.Y. 12740.
