Harry L. Barner , 75, of Aston, an engineering consultant and World Wa
II veteran, died May 1 at home.

Born in Williamsport, Pa., Mr. Barner resided in Ridley Twp before mov
ing to Aston 40 years ago. He was an engineering consultant for U.N.I
. Engineering Inc. in Wrightstown, N.J. He was previously employed b
y the Gulf Oil Corp. in Philadelphia for 32 years.

Mr. Barner served in the Army during World War II. He was a member o
f the National Rifle Association and Williamsport Lodge No. 106 F&AM
, where he was a 50-year member. Mr. Barner enjoyed hunting, photograp
hy, woodworking and reading.

He was the son of the late Lee R. and Ruth Moore Barner . He was prede
ceased by his wife of 41 years, Emilie M. Moeller Barner , who died i
1989. He was the brother of the late Carl Barner .

Survivors: Daughter, Karen L. Barner of Colorado Springs, Colo. sons
, Bruce A. Barner of Narberth, Wayne L. Barner of Aston brother, Jame
s L. Barner of Erie two grandchildren.

Service: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 3551 Concor

James L. Barner, age 94, of Millcreek Twp., passed away on December 1, 2023 at Manchester Commons after an extended illness. He was born on December 27, 1928 in Williamsport, PA, the son of the late Lee R. and Ruth E. Moore Barner.

He served in the US Marine Corp during WWII. He was employed with the National Weather Service for many years.
He enjoyed camping.

He was preceded in death by his wife Helen Barner in 2009 and his son Jimmy Barner.

He is survived by one daughter Linda and her partner Carol and one son Clay Barner (Pam), and one grandson Zachary.

Private services were conducted through the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd.

• Obituary: Bruce A. Barner, 66, of Aston, PA, died on Tuesday, December 8, 2020, at his home. Born August 20, 1954, he was a son of the late Harry L. and Emilie (Moeller) Barner. Bruce was a 1973 graduate of Sun Valley High School, Aston. Following high school, Bruce entered the workforce. At the time of his death, he was employed as a maintenance supervisor with University City Housing. Outside of work, he loved spending time with his five grandchildren. His most coveted title was “Opa.” He enjoyed working in the yard, fishing, building and repairing, camping and spending time with his family. Bruce is survived by one sister: Karen L. Barner, of Colorado Springs, CO; and one brother: Wayne L. Barner, of Colorado Springs, CO; one daughter: Tanya Clemens and her husband William, of Royersford; one son: Ryan Barner and his wife Erin, of Aston; and his former wife of thirty years and life-time friend, Sheri Ballezzi. Additional survivors include five grandchildren: Patrick and Molly Clemens, as well as Ryan, Jr., Dominic, and Mia Barner. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and state restrictions, services will be private. Interment in Mount Hope Cemetery, Aston, PA. Jimmy Wayne Barner was born December 23, 1954 in Williamsport, PA th
e son of James and Helen (Morgan) Barner. He was raised in Erie, PA a
d graduated from McDowell High School in Erie. He entered the Unite
d States Air Force on November 3, 1972. He served in Air Force Missil
e and Space Systems and in support of Operation Desert Storm and Opera
tion Desert Shield. He retired from military service on November 30
, 1996 at the Grand Forks Air Force Base. Jimmy married Nancy Woods o
August 10, 1979 in Grand Forks and they resided in Emerado. Followi
g his retirement, Jimmy taught Computer Technology at the Grand Fork
s Air Force Base and established and operated, Barner Enterprises an
d Printing. He was an avid outdoorsman.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy; his sons, Neil (Tina) Woods, Hopkin

Barrie was born in Williamsport, PA to parents Carl and Dawn (Miller
) Barner. Barrie was married in Orlando Florida to Robert Haghgou.
Barrie was involved in many service and social organizations. She ha
d many hobbies and was an accomplished designer, painter, hair dresse
and Pianist. Barrie always had the biggest smile and greatest sens
e of humor. She always found time to play with children and made sur
e everyone was at ease whenever she was around.
Barrie is survived by her husband Robert, sons Sean and Maxxon, daught
er Parisa, Brother Brett Barner, sister in law Patricia and Nephew Jac
