    y Medical Center. A daughter of Robert "Pete" Peters and Connie King P
    eters, who survive in Bellefonte, she was born on July 7, 1972, in Bel
    lefonte. She was a graduate of Bellefonte Area High School, class of 1
    990. She worked for State of the Art, Inc., for many years, and then w
    ent to school for nursing, working at Mount Nittany Medical Center an
    d recently as a private home nurse. Melanie was an active member of th
    e Curtin United Methodist Church teaching Sunday school. In addition t
    o her parents, Melanie is survived by three sons, Wesley J., of Bellef
    onte, Eli F. and Caleb R. Ritchey, at home; one brother, Carl Peters
    , of Bellefonte; her fiancee, Steve Hartman, of Lemont; and her mother
    -in- law, E. Norene Ritchey, of Stormstown. She is also survived by he
    dog, Ivory. A public visitation will be held on Monday, April 6, 201
    5, from 6-8 p.m., at Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc., 206 N. Spring St.
    , Bellefonte, PA, with the funeral service held on Tuesday, April 7, 2
    015, at 11:00 a.m., at the funeral home, with Reverend Kathleen Danle
    y officiating. Burial will follow in Meyer Cemetery, Benner Township
    . Memorial contributions may be made to the Curtin United Methodist Ch
    urch, 305 Curtin Village Rd., Howard, PA 16841 or to Wetzler Funeral S
