s loving family, Timothy A. Heltman, 56, of Bellefonte, formerly of th
e Penns Valley area, passed from this life on Sunday, March 27, 2011
, after a long but courageously fought battle with lung cancer. Tim wa
s born in Lock Haven, a son of the late Chester Heltman and Betty Wagn
er Heltman Derr (Earl), of Columbia, Pa. Tim was a 1972 graduate of Pe
s Valley Area High School and a 1977 graduate of Penn State Universi
ty with a degree in Architectural Engineering. He was employed at Pen
State in the Office of Physical Plant for 25 years. On Oct. 2, 2010
, Tim married Judy L. Doherty. Judy survives at their home in Bellefon
te. Also surviving are three sons, Bradley J. Heltman (Rebecca), and R
yan A. Heltman (Kaitlyn), both of Centre Hall, and Eric A. Heltman (Ni
cholle), of Philipsburg; three step children, Rebecca Early, of Cape C
oral, Fla., Lance Early, of Friday Harbor, Wash., and Brandon Early (T
asha), of Milesburg. Additional survivors include a sister, Jolene Hul
son (Mike), of Bellefonte, a brother, David Heltman (Carolyn), of Reyn
oldsville; and grandchildren Emily Heltman, Jonathan Heltman, Ethan He
ltman, Macy Heltman, Landon Heltman, Braeton Guenot, Brandon Early, La
Kayda Early, Gianna Early, and Skyler Early. Tim was a lover of music
, especially classic rock. He played guitar in the two local bands, Rt
. 66 and Smokin Guns. He enjoyed riding his Harley motorcycle and trav
eling with Judy. Another love of Tim's was his grandchildren, he so en
joyed spending time with them. Tim always had a smile on his face. H
e was with us such a short time, but the memories of him will foreve
be in our hearts. A visitation for family and friends will be held o
Wednesday, March 30, 2011, from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. at the Steven R. Ne
ff Funeral Home in Millheim. The funeral will be held Thursday at 1 p.
m. at the funeral home. Tim will be laid to rest in Cedar Hill Cemeter
y, #028 in Mill Hall.
