Born June 2, 1947 in Lock Haven a son of the late Sylvester and Edit
h (Burrell) Haagen.
Sam was a graduate of Mid-America College of Funeral Service, Jefferso
ville, Ind.
He was licensed funeral director employed at the Helt Funeral Home o
Church Street, Lock Haven and later owned and operated Haagen’s Tran
sfer Service for several years.
Sam was an EMT and also a paid fire truck driver for Citizens Hose Com
pany.
He was a member of Salona Lutheran Church.
Surviving are one daughter, Samantha Haagen of Avis and a brother Ki
m (Elisabeth) Haagen of Lewistown.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 23, 2019 a
t the Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall with the Rev. Ka
l Runser officiating.
Friends and relatives will be received one-hour prior to the service.
Burial will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Lamar Twp.
