Mrs. Kathryn Miller Ohnmeiss, 36, wife of Paul J. Ohnmeiss, 448 Sherid
an Street, died at 2:05 o'clock Thursday afternoon Nov. 27, 1941. A me
mber of Christ Episcopal Church, she is survived by her husband and th
e following relatives: Two sons, Earl Oscar Ohnmeiss and Jacob F., a
t home; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Oden O. Miller, Elimsport; seven brother
s and sisters, Comly Miller, Milton; John E. Miller, White Deer; Clare
ce Miller, Kendall, N.Y.; Harold Miller, city; Mrs. Mary Leiby, Allen
wood; Mrs. Fred Sommer, Berwick, and Miss Josephine Miller, city. Serv
ices will be held at Christ Episcopal Church at 10:30 o'clock Monday m
orning with Canon Stuart F. Gast officiating. Interment will be in Wil
dwood and friends may call at the home anytime after 2 o'clock Sunda
y afternoon.

Earl Ohnmeiss was an only child of Paul John (aka Jonathan) Ohnmeiss a
d Kathryn (Miller) Ohnmeiss. After Earl's mother died, his father mar
ied Frida Campbell. It is reported that Earl did not fit in with th
e new stepmother and came to live with John Henry "Jack" Ohnmeiss an
d Jack's mother, Susan (Senn) Ohnmeiss for a period of time. Earl wa
s living at 1525 Franklin Street when he died Thursday at home. His ag
e was 65 years, 8 months, 14 days. He and his wife, the former Doris J
. Sechler, observed their 46th wedding anniversary August 19th. He wa
s manager of Ohnmeiss Apartments. He was employed by Trimtex for 38 ye
ars, retiring in 1985 as supervisor. He was a member of the Republica
League, Knights of Columbus and Sycamore and Tri Town Bridge clubs
. He attended St. Boniface Catholic Church. Surviving, besides his wif
e, are a son, Jeffrey E. Ohnmeiss of Williamsport and two granddaughte
s. Earl's son, Steven E. Ohnmeiss, died in 1976. Source: Williamspor
