s , 65, of Pleasant Gap, passed away at his residence on December 22
, 2014. Born November 21, 1949, in Bellefonte. He served in the Marin
e Corps during the Vietnam War. Larry was a Lab Technician at Restek
. He was an avid Steelers, Pirates and Penguins fan. He was a member o
f the Bellefonte VFW Post 1600 and was Commander for two years of th
e Milesburg American Legion Post 893 and also served four years as pre
sident. Larry is survived by his long time companion, Mary Kerstetter
; two sons, Walter (Hope) Peters of Bellefonte and Christopher (Lana
) Peters of Pleasant Gap; two brothers, Walter Peters of Runville an
d Steven Peters of Wingate and two grandchildren, Andrew Peters and Ka
therine Peters. Larry is also survived by his two dogs, Lassie and Luc
y. Larry was the son of the late Walter and Bertie Lou Rhoades Peters
. Service will be held on Monday, December 29, 2014 at 11:00am at Dea
K. Wetzler Funeral Home, 201 Spring St., Milesburg, where military h
onors will be accorded. Pastor Douglas W. Mellott officiating. Famil
y and Friends will be received at the funeral home on Sunday, Decembe
28, 2014 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Burial will be in New Union Cem
etery, Union Twp., Centre Co. Arrangements are under the direction o
