    MILLERSTOWN- Earl Eugene "Cowman" Cauffman, 65 of Millerstown passed a
    way on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 from injuries sustained in an automobi
    le accident.
    He was the husband of Teresa L. "Terry" (Metz) Cauffman to whom he wa
    s married for 34 years.
    Earl was born at home in rural Greenwood Township, Perry County. He wa
    s the son of the late Robert H. and Ardella M. (Gelnett) Cauffman. H
    e was a 1970 graduate of Greenwood High School.
    Earl was engaged in farming all of his life.
    He was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Millerstown, the Newpo
    t Owls Club, Hunters Valley Sportsman's Association, Loyal Order of M
    oose Lodge No. 925, Millerstown, and the American Legion Post No. 364
    , Liverpool.
    Earl loved to be in the outdoors and he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
    In addition to his wife, Earl is survived by his two sons: Brady Cauff
    man of Millerstown and Phil Cauffman at home, four granddaughters: Ash
    ley Berg wife of Travis, Alyssa Cauffman and her fiance Shane Seibert
    , Lauren Dressler and Caitlyn Cauffman; a grandson Cody Cauffman, thre
    e great grandsons: Gadge, Miles, and Brodie Berg; two brothers: Glen C
    auffman and Dean Cauffman both of Millerstown; three nephews, and a ni
    ece.
    Earl was preceded in death by a son Travis Cauffman and a niece Robert
    a "Bobbie Jo" Rumfelt.
    Friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Life Service on Sun
    day, October 22, 2017 at 3:00 PM from the Newport Family Life Center
    , 27 W. Shortcut Road, Newport.

    Glen Robert Cauffman, 74, of Millerstown, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at UPMC Pinnacle Health Hospital in Harrisburg.

    He was born on October 2, 1947, in Harrisburg, a son of the late Robert and Ardella (Gelnett) Cauffman.

    Glen was a graduate of Greenwood High School and earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Penn State University. He established the agricultural education program at Greenwood High and supported the Greenwood FFA. He retired from Penn State University after 25 years as Manager of Farm Operations and Facilities in 2011. Glen most recently raised Angora goats and developed a mohair accessory and yarn business, Pure American Naturals. Glen spent his life being an innovative farmer.

    He was an active member and officer of many agricultural organizations, including the Mid-Atlantic Master Farmers Association and the Perry County Farm Bureau. He was a member of St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Millerstown.

    His passions in life were farming, education and research, and conservation. He also enjoyed woodworking, beekeeping, and driving horses.

    Glen is survived by his three sons, Todd J. Cauffman, Mark E. Cauffman, and Eric M. Cauffman, all of Millerstown; one granddaughter Sydney Cauffman; one grandson Ethan Rumfelt; one brother Dean Cauffman; and his companion, Judith M. Shoemaker.
    He is preceded by his parents; one daughter Roberta Jo (Cauffman) Rumfelt; a brother Earl Cauffman; and a nephew Travis Cauffman.

    Services have not been finalized.

    The George P. Garman Funeral Homes, Inc., 606 N. Front Street, Liverpool, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
