    . She was 89. Born on July 30, 1925, in Tylersville, Emma was a daught
    er of the late George and Adelia (Heckman) Kerstetter. On December 27
    , 1949, she was united in marriage to Thomas Rathmell Henderson, who p
    eceded her in death on December 26, 1997. Upon graduation from Suga
    Valley High School, Emma went on to attend Lock Haven State Teacher'
    s College where she attained her Bachelor's Degree. She then enrolle
    d at Penn State University and achieved her Master's Degree in educati
    on with an emphasis in reading. She was employed for 31 years in the P
    enns Valley Area School District as a first grade teacher, beginning a
    t the Coburn Elementary School and ending at the Spring Mills Elementa
    y School. Emma was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Millhei
    m where she was active in the choir. She was actively involved in th
    e community, participating in a local community choir, at a senior cit
    izen center and with the Girl Scouts. Emma served as a past presiden
    t of the PA Federation of Republican Women. She was a member of the Ce
    tre Hall Chapter of The Eastern Star. She enjoyed gardening, canning
    , and baking. She was an avid coffee drinker and loved to eat. Emma en
    joyed vacationing at the beach, and loved her pets and her grand dog
    s and cats. However, Emma's greatest love was her grandchildren and fa
    mily. Emma is survived by two daughters, Barbara H. Cole (Chris), of S
    pring Mills and Maureen L. Ivanco (Ted), of Roanoke, Va.; one son, Dav
    id T. Henderson (Jana), of Phoenix, Ariz.; one sister, Betty Barner (H
    arry), of Lamar; and one brother, Dan Kerstetter (Eileen), of Tylersvi
    lle. Also surviving are six grandchildren, John T. Cole (Maggie), Timo
    thy M. Cole (Ryan), Melissa A. Ivanco (Sean), Teddy Ivanco, Jonny Ivan
    co and Merchent Henderson. In addition to her husband, she was precede
    d in death by siblings, George Kerstetter, Kay Doughty and Geraldine M
    ingle. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, O
    ctober 2, 2014, from 6:30-8:00 p.m. at the Steven R. Neff Funeral Hom
    e in Millheim. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Fr
    iday at 11:00 a.m. Emma will be laid to rest in Cedar Hill Cemetery, #
    028 at Mill Hall. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Emm

    Wednesday, April 15, 2015. Born on October 11, 1928, in Tylersville
    , he was the son of the late George W. and Adelia Grace Heckman Kerste
    tter. On March 11, 1947, Dan married the former Bernice Eileen Slegl
    e who survives. He was employed as a lather by Lathers Union Local 133
    3. Dan was then employed as a carpenter for Carpenters Union Local 95
    0 with a total of 42 years before retiring in 1990. Dan was a member o
    f the St. John's United Church of Christ, Tylersville. He enjoyed hunt
    ing and fishing, and especially taking fishing trips to Canada. In add
    ition to his wife, Dan is survived by three sons: Daniel B., Dennis W
    . (Arlene), and Larry S. (Belva) Kerstetter, all of Loganton; two daug
    hters, Jean (Dan) Courter, of Clintondale and Diane (Ron) Karstetter o
    f Loganton; a sister, Bettie Barner, of Lamar; eight grandchildren; an
    d 15 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Georg
    e J. Kerstetter; and three sisters: Geraldine Mingle, Kay Douty and Em
    ma Henderson. Services will be held at the convenience of the family

    tter, 77, of Montandon, passed away on Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at home
    . He was born on December 7, 1930 in Logan Twp, Clinton County. He i
    s a son of the late George W. and Adeliade G. Heckman. He honorably se
    ved in the U.S. Army from 1952-1954 at Ft. Monmouth, N.J., as an elec
    tronic fire control equipment repairman instructor following graduatio
    from high school and a year of college. George began his accomplishe
    d floral design career at Bill McMullen's Florist in State College bef
    ore entering the service. He then worked for Ray Lyon's Florist and Gr
    eenhouses, Bellefonte before moving to Danville in 1960 where he owne
    d and operated George's Flowers and Gifts, a successful business for o
    ver 25 years. He also owned and operated George's Flowers, Gifts and D
    ecorative Accessories, George's Custom Framing and George's Liberty Ga
    dens all of Danville and George's Flowers and Gifts, Milton. His land
    scape design passion lead him to own and operate George's Treeland Nur
    sery, Shamokin Dam. Most recently, he had done the interior design o
    f his daughter's beauty shop, A Cut Above in Lewisburg where he was al
    so the valued bookkeeper and will be sadly missed. George enjoyed trav
    eling and made many trips with friends and family. He is survived by h
    is long time friend and companion, Allan Wagner; a daughter, E. George
    tte and husband Carl of Montandon; sons Patrick, and Drue and wife Mel
    issa of Berwick; five granddaughters; a brother Daniel and wife Eilee

    George J. Kerstetter, 77, of Montandon, passed away on Tuesday, June 1
    0, 2008, at home.

    He was born Dec. 7, 1930 in Logan Twp, Clinton Co, the son of the lat
    e George W. and Adeliade G. Heckman.

    He honorably served in the U.S. Army from 1952 to 1954 at Ft. Manmouth

    t Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, Mahoning Twp, Montour Co, PA i
    Danville.
    Born May 10, 1983, in College Twp, he was a son of David K. and Susa
    G. Barner Hackenberg, who survive at home.
    He was a 2001 graduate of Central Mountain High School in Mill Hall.
    He was a cabinet maker for Woodcraft in Bellefonte.
    In junior high school, he was a wrestler. He enjoyed youth soccer, bas
    eball and youth wrestling. He was an avid skateboarder and played bas
    s and acoustic guitar.
    In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, Ryan K., at h
    ome; his maternal grandparents, Harry and Bettie Barner of Howard; hi
    s paternal grandmother, June Hackenberg of Mill Hall; and several cous
    ins.
    Visitation will be from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday at Dean K. Wetzler Jr
    . Funeral Home, 320 Main St. in Mill Hall.
    The funeral will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at St. Mark's Lutheran Church i
    Snydertown, with Pastor Jean M. Horman officiating.
